It’s Understandable
One day, unlike any other, I woke up feeling empty. Even my favorite coffee failed to tempt me out of bed.
I stared out the window, watching the morning light spill over the tiles and furniture, while my thoughts wandered to the things that had left parts of my heart in disarray.

Over the past year, I've been learning to dissect my emotions—examining them closely, one by one, and giving them names. On days when getting out of bed feels impossibly hard, I start a dialogue with myself, articulating the observations I've gathered about my emotions.
This act of articulating my feelings has become an upgraded feature of my inner dialogue. But what has made the most difference is how I respond to these observations.
“It’s understandable,” I say to myself after laying out how I feel.
We often associate feeling understood with conversations we have with others. But understanding yourself? That hits differently.
Through this journey, I’ve realized that self-awareness isn’t just about understanding your strengths and weaknesses—it’s about giving yourself permission to simply be human. Some days, your '100%' might look like '25%' of your usual self, and that’s okay. What matters is recognizing it, embracing it, and learning as you go.
This journey also taught me that: Being a lifelong learner isn’t just about acquiring knowledge or mastering skills. It’s about learning about yourself over the lifetime.
This journey may hurt (a lot). But perhaps, that’s how it’s meant to be.
Every emotion you feel, is understandable. Just, take your time. 🌤
